Amelia is the Marketing Director at First State Bank and a fourth generation banker. She is also a Director at First State Bank, Vice President and Director of Maxlou Bancshares, and the President of Liberty Finance and Action Loan located in Tahlequah, Muskogee, and Okmulgee. She graduated from Tahlequah High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Media Production at Missouri State University before deciding to switch it up and go into the family business of finance.
She has fond childhood memories of traveling from Athens, Georgia to Tahlequah to spend summers and Christmases on the Illinois River with her grandparents. She is thankful her family moved back to Tahlequah permanently when she was 8 years old. She enjoys photographing the beautiful scenery and wildlife around Cherokee County, hiking, playing music, and learning about the rich history and stories of Tahlequah. She feels nothing is more rewarding than the opportunity of meeting new people through her work and learning about them and all of their stories.
