Amelia is the Marketing Director at First State Bank and the President of Liberty Finance Inc. She is a fourth generation banker. She graduated from Tahlequah High School and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Media Production at Missouri State University before deciding to switch it up and go into the family business of finance. Amelia is a Director at First State Bank, Vice President and Director of Maxlou Bancshares Inc., a Board Member of Tahlequah Area Habitat for Humanity, a Board Member and Treasurer of the Thompson House, an Ambassador for the Tahlequah Area Chamber of Commerce, a Leadership Class XXI graduate, and a volunteer with Help in Crisis.
She has fond childhood memories of summers and Christmases on the Illinois River with her grandparents and is thankful her family moved to Tahlequah permanently when she was 8 years old. She enjoys photographing the beautiful scenery and wildlife around Cherokee County, hiking, playing music, and learning about the rich history and stories of Tahlequah. She feels nothing is more rewarding than the opportunity of meeting new people through her work and learning about them and all of their stories.
